WAVE Beach Volleyball is dedicated to the development and advancement of our athletes as competitors and productive community members.  We focus on individual & team skills, game knowledge, and personal fitness to shape our athletes to be the best they can be. Athletes are given the opportunity to explore new levels of training through techniques and drills proven to increase personal and team success.   We train with purpose under the guidance of an exceptional beach coaching staff, while enjoying our time together in the sand.  For those vying to compete in the next stage of life and sport, we offer recruiting assistance to every 8th-12th grade beach athlete in our program. Beach Club
Girls 7th-12th Grade
What better way to spend the best time of the year in San Diego, but at the beach playing, learning, and growing as an athlete at San Diego’s premier beach volleyball club?

WAVE Beach is entering its 7th season and continues to reign as California Beach Volleyball Association’s Top Ranked Beach Club.  Our athletes are successful due to the specialized training environment and flexibility of practice schedules offered between WAVE’s two locations.  

The program includes:

• The ability to commit to training sessions 2 to 3 times a week or have the flexibility to drop-in at sessions when your schedule allows.
• Competitive practices conducted with fast-paced, high-repetition skill specific drills and game-like scenarios
• Continual evaluation of an athlete’s skill and ability to provide proper court placement at each session
• A highly qualified, knowledgeable coaching staff, that stays current with college and professional strategies and philosophies of the game
• Active coaching at designated tournaments
• Personalized College recruiting included for all 8th -12th grade athletes in the program, with over 45 college committed beach athletes to date

Sand Stars
Girls 3rd-6th Grade

The Sand Stars program is designed to create a lifetime passion and solid foundation of skills in the sport of beach volleyball.  Athletes participating in the program will develop and improve their technical skills through engaging, high repetition training in a FUN and supportive environment.   An added advantage is getting to train alongside many of San Diego’s top youth beach athletes as Sand Star sessions run concurrent with WAVE’s Beach Club program.

Details of the program include:

• Sessions offered Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 
• Join at any time throughout the season, no partner needed
